American Patriotism versus British Patriotism

I copied the following link from a discussion thread about British patriotism versus American patriotism from the UK online paper "The Sun".


American Patriotism Puts Us All To Shame


Yes it does


They hoist the stars & stripes in a sign of unity
We hoist the Union flag and are labeled 'racist'

They sing a national anthem about the unity of its states & people
We have a national anthem that sings not about its people, but about a family of people that don't represent us and one that also countenances the elected dictatorship

They promote freedom of choice and the work ethic
Our government promote state dependance and 'nanny-state'

They promote self-reliance and the creation of wealth
Our government promotes the scrounger ethic and reliance on the state

They promote the rule of law and just deterrent
Our government promotes apologising for every tom, dick & scumbag

They promote democracy and trust their own to make the right choices
Our government does not trust the people to make decisions for themselves

Americans thrive on a political system; democracy
UK ruling socialist elite thrives on dictatorship and top-down control

Americans breed hope and real belief for the future
UK socialists breed only doom and despair for the future

Americans largely trust their government to do the 'right thing'
British already know government can't be trusted to run an orgy in a brothel

American government truly love their people
British socialist government hates its own people


It's not the Americans that put us to shame, but the NuLabour socialists that put us to shame
